HTML Tutorials

Hey Guys, I know Andy gave us a site on HTML basics yesterday but a buddy of mine from Pratt put me on to this site, webmonkey.com They have a bunch of tutorials on all different kinds of stuff from html to blogs...... anyway thought it might be useful, that is if anyone checks this blog anymore.

A Site to Check Out

I've never heard of this until now, but the layout/comments/personal yet professional concept really appeals to me.

I just thought this was cool, and the way it's set up like a blog is something to think about. A blog doesn't just mean a nonexistent wesbite - it could be something like this that looks professional and tells a story with each entry.

Bamcat business card final

This is my conclusion to this assignment.

In my opinion, it's memorable, legible, and a good representation of what I'm about. I think it would stand out.

Great opportunity to get out, network, meet the folks at Space 242 and The Dig, and see some great artwork.

SPACE 242 , Boston’s lowbrow destination, proudly announces its February 2009 exhibitions SWEET MEATS and SOUR GRAPES. The exhibitions, both on view February 27 through March 20, feature new paintings by Jennifer Lewis and new paintings and prints by Amanda Clarke respectively. The opening reception, Friday, February 27, runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Boston’s South End, 242 E. Berkeley Street, 2nd floor (between Albany Street and Harrison Avenue).

I tweaked the front a bit, made the dots and stripes a little bigger because I was worried they will be too small when it's printed. Here is also the reverse side with my info. I want to do rounded corners I think. Yay or nay on these?

gregs business card variations

Here are some variations on the card everyone seems to like. I'm much happier with this font.
Kerstin suggested on my blog to use the different font for the second line like in the bottom two, but to keep the spacing between lines the same as in the first card. I agree. Any other suggestions?
Oh, and the back will be minimal with my contact information and probably a small drawing somewhere, still working on it. Thanks everyone.

IT'S BUSINESS TIME.

I might change the robots on the sides due to worrying the detail might be lost when printed small, as well as thickening the blue lines behind the girl, but I'm pretty happy with this. I'll be putting my info on the back with a similar frame around it. I was also thinking of altering it a bit and using it as one of my postcards. What do you guys think?
